This tutorial will guide you how to install Joomla in your localhost. I assume that your already have your XAMMP Installed, if not use this tutorial "Installing XAMMP" to install xammp in your computer.
Steps
1. Create the your site inside the htdocs directory. To do this, locate your xammp installation folder, If you installed your XAMMP in "C:" drive, htdocs directory can found in C:\Xammp\Htdocs\.. For this tutorial we will use "freejoomlatutorial"so we should have C:\Xammp\Htdocs\freejoomlatutorial. If we will check it in our browser, type in http:\\localhost\freejoomlatutorial, this is empty for now, since we don't install our Joomla files yet.
